Another of our more underground House DJ’s – meet Mel Mara!
Originally from now what is fast becoming one of Europe’s best clubbing destinations, Croatia, Mel, since her formative years has taken many different directions with music but has always followed her passion for it, putting it at the heart of everything she thinks about for the past 20 years.
As well as being a well-established DJ in the Melbourne house scene for quite some time, before all this came along Mel landed employment for various record/management companies immediately after finishing school, giving her a lot of food for thought on her main interest in life.
Circa 2005 saw Mel find a massive passion for house music after starting work for well established “Seven” nightclub. She knew exactly what industry she wanted to work in, as well as what sort of crowd to mix with, which led her to become a host for a string of venues – Eve Nightclub, Cushion and Barkly. This helped her to Network and build a foundation of contacts which were put good use in the years to follow.
Fast forward to today, and Mel has secured residencies in top clubs such as Disco Volante and Less Than Zero, as well as a string of events throughout Bali, Indonesia. A solid and reliable DJ – Mel is renowned to impress any dance floor with her tunes.
