Melbourne based – “Femme” has been notoriously noted in the industry as ‘the one to watch’. This blonde ball of energy has had no trouble cementing herself in the DJ scene and gaining a well respected reputation through her gigs and her Aria chart winning releases. Her bangin’ club sets and dedication to the industry is the passion that quickly shines through. She has mixed six iTunes top ten selling cd dance compilations plus had many Aria chart topping single releases under her own name. Add to this been a successful touring DJ for the last 9 years across Australia and overseas.
Femme was signed to LNG Music / Universal as a chosen artist to mix numerous aria charting compilations “Pump IT”. The releases have been a huge success and are still one of the highest selling cd compilations in Australia. These releases have seen Femme complete three national tours across the country over two years. Playing in every major city and regional throughout Australia. On the promotional side she has featured on Nova Nation, Austereo network nationwide, Video Hits and Channel Ten nationally. To follow on from these compilations Femme has also mixed Wild Summer with fellow buddy Uberjakd which also added another national tour to her list. Plus in 2013 she mixed her first online compilation for Ministry of Sound – This is schoolies, which hit #4 on the iTunes downloads! Proven success for this passionate DJ.
This already high in demand female was selected by front runner -EMI- as one of Australia’s top ten female DJ s as part of the “She can DJ” campaign. During this time she co-hosted her very own episode of Channel V, also appearing in numerous street magazines nationally and interviews by radio stations across the country including Nova – nationwide!
On the local DJ circuit she has earnt her reputation in some of the countries most established and respected clubs and shared the stage with the countries biggest. Femme is also the first ever female to earn her place as a main stage resident DJ in Australias largest super club- HQ. Internationally she has played for the World Famous Brand in Ibiza, ” El Divino” in Floripa, Brazil, Sky garden Bali, Play club Kuala Lumpur, Prime nightclub Malaysia, Face club NZ , Pop Light Noumea, PNG and made her first appearance DJ’ing in Manila for fashionista brand Belvedre at thefamous Skye bar. She also headlines many of Melbourne’s largest Asian nights and parties.
Her first release “Time to rock” – with buddy Motez, was signed by Homebrew records and featured Pump It Vol 3! A massive achievement for any dedicated DJ. Adding to that list is her recent collaboration with Adelaide’s own Uberjakd. Continuing the hard work Femme featured her new track on the latest Pump it – Dirty nasty.
Femme was signed to Bomb Squad records working along side buddies Bombs away. She has since topped the Australian Aria charts numerous times with releases through Bomb Squad plus also releases through Central Station Records. She is currently working with Central station records.
Clearly the most important factor is the tunes for this much demanded DJ. She will proudly tell you its not about looking the package, its about loving what you do and being dedicated to the industry. Femme joins the talented list of ARIA charting DJ s each week and has previously been involved in running a record label and managing releases. She works tightly in with the largest community dance music station in the country Fresh FM co hosting shows as a monthly guest also. Plus is no stranger to having her mixes played on stations across the country regulary.
Femme’s respected club sound is main room electro with a mix of her favourite Melb sound. Hard work and determination combined with strong technical skills has gotten this beauty where she is today. In a tough industry this devoted DJ remains strong in her existence.
